Not saying it was arguing. Just coming off very salesman like, slightly pushy towards the product and defensive.

Not upset about it. But a little less robot like interactions would help sales.
I’m simply offering a discount on products if you want to take advantage of it great. If not I understand completely. People are twisting this and I think a lot is mis communication. But by saying other gauge companies offer the same thing there’s a reason why. Not just because they want to.

Confusion on your part. People said they wanted different ranges and you just said "these work fine".

When 90% of squares are in somewhat original configuration and not possible to do over 100 mph and make 100psi of oil pressure. That's just a simple fact. And Ricko was trying to offer a solution around this problem.

I understand that. These companies don’t offer that. And I can’t change that.
And if you read back I was saying that 0-100 still reads just you won’t see the gauge go past a certain number and that it will work with all applications. My Autometer gauges go to 100 my Dakota digitals go to 100 and so do new vintage.

And if YOU read back post 3 says if the gauge is reading at far left all the time and barely moves you won't see it when there is a problem . All I did was try to offer a simple solution. All you did was tell us all there's no problem. You're trying to sell and justify,I was just trying to solve an issue.

On a 60psi not a 100psi see that’s the miscommunication

High oil pressure on a 350 is 60-70 so a 60 psi would be pegged where a 100 wouldn’t that’s what I’ve been saying

Yes he said a 0-60 would be nice. I said change the sender to get the needle in a better position, and remember the numbers would no longer be accurate. This would cure the problem of the needle not being far left but in a possibly better location. Again,I tried to solve a problem, not say there is no problem, live with it.

So most people are driving around all day long making over 60 psi. Hmm GM didn't see it that way look at the factory gauges, that the pressures work fine for 90 percent of people.

I'm beginning to think fusky is right and that GM had no idea what would be a proper gauge for most 350s. I can wear size 13 shoes 9s fit me better, you can tell me all day long 13s will fit,but not as well as 9s.

I've done many side projects with NVU in the past, like repopping dummy light panels to exact knock offs of 1960s - 1970s gauge faces. I intend on doing something 'different' with a couple of my truck's gauges as well.

I loved that 70-80s style gauge they had - the fonts were spot on - and had full intent on buying them.....but at that time, they were calling it a 'limited edition' (had 2 color schemes) and ran out of the one I wanted before I could order them. So, I collected everything in VDO Visions and went that way instead.

But for custom projects, they are incredible. Not sure who else could do alot of what they offer.

In cases of a clogged oil filter or an oil relief valve that can cause high oil pressure which could cause it to go over 60psi

Sure it can but thats not the common problem, if the pick up falls off it will have zero psi, again not the common problem it also is not post 3s complaint.

GM has used 80 PSI oil pressure gauges in a lot of applications. Most aftermarket gauges that I've ever seen are 100 PSI gauges. Also, most times I've seen higher end gauges in a truck, it's a higher end build that is far from stock and usually with an LS under the hood.

Which for me personally, if I'm buying gauges like this, it's going to be for a very not-stock truck. A hell-raising C10 with a 6 speed transmission. The kind that would benefit from a 140 mph speedo and an 8k tach. Like the other trucks I've seen and mentioned.

But if it happens you will not see it on a 60 that’s why personally I believe 100 is no problem

And if it goes over 100,and it probably will you won't see it on a 100 psi gauge either. In either case you'll see you have a problem when the gauge goes full peg. VDO for 1 makes 150 psi gauges, maybe we should all get those,in case our relief valves stick. By the way I have had it happen, with a stock gauge and I knew had a problem.
