Well I hope it aiint nuthn major got to dark but iv got it ready to pull(no whay I'm pulln it as heavy as it is) hoping for the best.... trans mount was gone completely too lol dam crossmember almost fell on my head lol hoping for the best gonna pull it Friday and see what happens.. if annything iv got a built th400 I can use temporary till I can afford what I need. Well if I do put in the 400 then my fiance will be able to drive it lol

If you dont consider a clutch anything major I think you will be fine. The SM-465 is a tough son of a bitch, most likely your clutch disk broke. I pulled my Sm465 out with the np 208 transfer case still attached using a cheap ass harbor freight transmission jack adapter, you can do it by yourself in the dark!

Lol thx for the vote of confidence but my boss would kill me if the trans didn't not to mention its like 40 f*****g degrees outside.... wayyyy to cold btw annything I should watch for when pulln the shifter handle

IIRC you need to put it like you're almost putting it in reverse when you go to pull the stick out that way all the grooves on the forks are lined up.

so in the nuetral position in between 3&4 or above reverse?

When you pull the lid off the transmission you do the half way into reverse thing, for just pulling the stick out get some big ass channel locks and push down on the metal cap and twist counter clockwise. the shifter will come right out, and then just prop up the engine and let is as far down as possible.

Well irishman999 you win (idk where your gonna get 10 bucks tho lol) the center of clutch.was completely torn out and flopin arround got it fixed up tho broke in new clutch by driving 200 miles to drill lol you dont happen to have a nv4500 layon arround do you? Lol il trade you my sm for it lol jk I appreciate all the help guys. Oh ya got to drill and my lt comes up to me and asks.if I know how to replace a clutch his blew lol
