So on my 84 the bed floor has some major rust through where the 3 inch lift cylinders are in the back. The support bars that run across the frame (Can't remember the name at the moment) are basically rusted out in the back too where you can see the bed on a slight slant. Do you guys think itd be cheaper to have a body shop cut out the entire bed floor and weld in sheetmetal there and some metal bars for the support bar or for me to get a whole new bed? Itd be a shame to have to replace the entire bed and am hoping I'd be able to take a cheap way out:shitsweak:

You should be able to find a used bed for $200-$300, it would cost more than that to have all your rust repaired by someone else.

Are you needing a short bed or long bed? You'll have a better chance finding a good long bed, and if you do find a good short bed, be prepared to pay for it.

that's what places sell is the back 1/4 sections or full halfs then they got the sills and the rear pan too.

Only place I've seen the sills is raybuck that I can think of though.
