Looking for a good 2GC carb to replace the marine crap one I have now. Needing rebuild is ok as long as it was a good running carb. Inexpensive would be a bonus too!

I do have a few 2bbls sitting around. I can look and see what I have and see if anything might work for you.
I only build quadrajets now, but I take in all kinds of things on trade.

If you still have the factory Vara-jet intake, you won't be able to use a 2-GC carb. on it. The Vara-jet has two different size throttle plates; where as, the 2GC are the same and open together.

Already have the adapter from Monojet to the currently used 2jet. The monojet had a bad throttle plate rod, I was given this 2gc, but it's marine and sat for years before I rebuilt it, but the carb is crap... I can't cruise in town @ 20mph in 2nd without it bucking and spitting & sputtering. WOT and idle are fine, but the off idle circuit is f'd up, even after a dunk..hence why I need a 2bbl!

I have a 7041105 that is probably buildable I found on my shelf. Would be originally for a 71 Chevy.

The throttle operates. It was sitting on my shelf in shop so hasn't been rained on. I have a variety of carbs that have been part of a bulk purchase of cores or someone has dropped of for me. I can build these if you would need me to, I just focus on the quadrajets now.

If this would work for you and you need it as is, I'll be glad to send it to you.

I think that'd work. How much for it rebuilt, shipped to 04008? I have the dead monojet and this crappy marine 2GC I'd give you if you want.

Also, just FYI.. the block casting on this 250 says it's from 67 - 72, so it'd even be correct year! :)

I would build it fresh, all new internals and ship to you for $200 total.
That includes complete disassembly, soak, ultrasonic cleaned, and all my normal processes.

That's a good price, and that includes shipping.
