Ride Heigt Question

Greetings all,

Sorry if this seems silly to some or all of you. I am new to this site and I've been looking a lot of places for the answer to my question but haven't had any luck. I'm curious if anyone knows how to measure the current ride height of a truck vs the stock ride height. This summer I bought an 87 k20 that was advertised as a 4" lift but I am not really sure, it has a Dana 60 rear and Dana 45 front, that's all I know. Any input as to how to measure a point on the frame maybe from stock height at a certain point would be greatly appreciated.

If your fenders are uncut, measure from the center of the axle hub to the center of the wheel well. This will give you an accurate measurement of your suspension height without needing to factor in your wheels or tires.

To the lip of the fender correct? Does anyone know the factory measurement for a K20 with a 350/sm465 combo?
