Unless I'm missing something, it's no different than just using an electric buffer.

Ok so what compound would you use in this instance? My paint isn't that bad but it's oxidized

Just a general purpose rubbing compound should work. I don't see anything wrong with using the Flitz stuff, I just don't see the point in using the puff ball in a drill. A buffer does the same thing but covers more area at once.

Oh yea bud you right on! Idk what's up with him using the drill. Maybe all he had. Anyone know of a buffing pad attachment that fits a 4 inch grinder?

My paint looks just about like that red one. I bought some mcguires ultimate compound and buffed it by hand. Got quite a bit of shine back, but a buffer would have been 100 times better. Then the weather turned ****** and I didn't get to wax it and lost all my shine.

They run specials all the time.. especially this time of the year. They have a 20% discount and 12 different deals going on.

I purchased the Porter Cable 7424XP and pad kit last year to use on my 57 Chevy and motor home. Within the next couple of months I am going to do some paint renewal on my 79 K10 and will post before and after photos.

Here is this years deal on the 7424XP... $199.99 http://www.autogeek.net/hk7424.html

Disclaimer: I do not work for Auto Geek or get any money from what I have posted. I just like their product line and they make some great videos and how-to demos!

Yea that's bad ass... what's the cost for that setup?
