Can the plastic piece on the end of a TV cable be replaced? I realize these are cheap, but when you have to order a cable and wait,it would be nice to be able to recrimp the end.Just asking.

I have cut the end off another damaged cable before that was damaged at the trans end. Put it on and crimped on a small crimp on fishing weight. I did have to put a kink in the cable where I put the weight so it wouldn't slip. Not sure how long it lasted but it worked for several months that I know of before the neighbor sold the vehicle.
