Looking for a set of ceramic long tube headers for a decent price. I know you get what you pay for. My truck's an 87 350/sm465, 4 inch susp lift with 35's, power steering, no ac. I have read elsewhere that some headers have clearance problems on manual trucks. Would like to stay away from the super cheap ones (for ease of installation) but also dont want to spend more than ~500.

Thanks for any help guy's.

summit brand.

cheapest I found, never had any issues with them but yet others have had problrmd, we only had 1 spark plug issue on ours.

They are actualy flowtech headers as well, and we've had dynomax before, no issues on the dynomax at all.

was it black coating or the ceramic one?

the black crap won't last anytime, but the ceramic on either I cannot speak for I've never owned a set of coated headers.

I will say I e only needed to tighten them once since I put them on though. A lot of cheap ones gotta be tightened all the time. Look at the thickness of the flange that bolts to heads. The coating though flaked off

My coated Hedmans seem to be holding up well so far, going on 2 years old and the coating still looks alright. And often the cheap headers are easier to fit in the truck, but they tend to hang a little low or rub shackles.
