take one off and go down to the local parts store, they have straight lines with the right ends you can bend by hand and make work.

Done it to my 88 recently, my brother in laws 97 ford and then the 86 camaro I had as well.

mine were 3/8 head nut fittings so most likely 3/8 thread as well, not really sure but it was 3/16 line, one side I needed a 30 inch piece I think or shorter and the other was a 40.

It doesnt matter what size line u use , if u have a flaring tool u can just go buy it by the foot , cut it to the length u need and slide the new nut on and flare the end of the line and ur in bizness.

The pre-cut ones I notice are usually odd lengths, like 20", 25", 30", 40", etc.

they are, but you can make em work I did, over and over, usually ones too big or a bit small, but often I've found the shorter ones with less bends the stock work nicely.

for example mine acros the rear was over 40, measureing all the bends, and I got a 40, nice straight shot and tucked into every factory holder, and not touching anything except the holders.

Thing is when you don't have a flare tool or the nut fittings, and you are in a bind and time crunch, grab em and make em work.
