Rear blinkers and brake lights not working

I have a 1981 motor tranny in 85 body
Rear blinkers and brake lights not working
Pretty sure flashers good and bulbs
Can someone tell me where the ground or grounds for the blinkers/brake light are. Or any ideas on what to check. Thank you

Any chance you checked the grounds at the tail light in behind the tail lense, check the brake switch, for the 5$ change out the flasher relay.

Had a friend whose dad bought new gmc 1500 in 1981. His dad died in 91he got the truck. 2018 he was hit front frame bent. Less than 100 miles he was going to junk it. I got it for 450. Now about 8500 more I’m trying to stomp out the gremlins.
I am having trouble with run on after cut off and cold start! Put rebuild cab. Electric choke , 305 4bbl
Any advice will be appreciated. No Egr valve or much emissions left. Does the big metal element need to stay in air cleaner. I appreciate the post much

It was a harness connection under the dash at steering wheel. The connection was next to ac duct work. Now the wire connector doesn’t seem to snap in place with a firm connection is there any way to rig that
