I am doing the 203 to 205 swap on my 79, soon enough the front axle is going to be rebuilt and i know i will need t install a manual locking hub kit (currently has no hub locking mechanism). when i look it up, all i see is part time 203 kits that include the hubs. In this case will i just need a simple locking hub kit to fit a 10 bolt? anything else i'm going to have to look for when tearing it down (spline counts, numbers, etc)? i've never seen an axle torn down, but i get the basics of it. thanks

10 bolt , np205 , np203

Did you ever figure this out? I’m about to do the same. What did you have to do to get the manual locking hubs?

Any internal style locking hub kit for a GM 10/20 series truck will work. Once upon a time most of the big chain parts stores kept a set of Warn hubs on the shelf.
