Hey guys, I'm going to prime my shortwide stepside here pretty soon and had a few questions on some primer.

First off, is the Transtar line pretty good? (I'm going with expoxy primers)

I don't know how much I should get because I don't know if i'm supposed to thin it or reduce or what not and if it'll make more out of it.

I need some help, thanks!

P.S. sorry for noob questions :sorry:

Never used Transtar, I use Spies Hecker at work, but any epoxy should be good. Mix per instructions, don't over reduce to try and make more, product won't work right. Epoxy primers are not a high build primers, they're more for bare metal and to hold stuff done, like bad paint or previous work. If you need build to block you want a high build 4:1 primer. DuPont, Axalta now, has good stuff too as does their Nason line of paint. Nason being cheaper line. Just use as it says on the can and you'll be fine. Make sure you got it around 72 degrees and metal not cold or it'll be running on the floor! Hope this helps.
