Possible Big mistake

So I've been looking around for a set of 3.42's for my 1983 8 lug 14 bolt semi float rear. It dawned on my that I had a 6 lug 14 bolt sf rear with 3.42's from a 1994 chevy that I had. When I went to look for it in my pile of parts I remembered that I scrapped it. I want to know if the gears would've interchanged. That way I can kick myself for scrapping that rear.

Whether they would have swapped or not, which they would have as bucket said, you made a big mistake scrapping a 6 lub SF 9.5. You can scrap 10 bolts, but YOU NEVER SCRAP 14 bolts in either FF or SF. Especially 14b 6 lugs. :Nonono:
