New gear to change! Yukon 3:42 gear set, on the after market set, there is supposed to be the measurement of the pinion depth engraved on the front of the pinion (should be like 2.56 "ish) I do not see if there is a measurement somewhere written on it?

Factory gear sets generally do not show the pinion depth total. They only show the variation of depth amount off the center line. This gear set is marker on zero.

Some aftermarket gear sets may show the total depth using their depth tool. Because of gear offsets and the different adaptors needed to obtain the reading, the actual measurement varies between the tools used.
