Might need some adjustment haven't had a q-jet in a while..
On the eddy if you got an HP motor adjust left screw until idle gets rough then right until it smooths out.
Reverse for stocker..

Run them in until idle gets rough then back out 2 turns.

Doesn't matter, you'll most likely do it a couple times to get it fine tuned anyhow. Unless I know the timing is set where it's supposed to be, I usually do that along with the idle mixture adjustment.

Yup. Adjusted mine a bit until it ran 'ok' then set timing.
Then went back and forth several times on adjustments.
Then rechecked timing and set idle.
Road test then, back and forth adjustments a few more times.
Picky, picky, picky, but it runs great after all that.
