The engine that came out of my 92 had the number in the same place. It had a 7 or 8 digit number .

Oil pan gasket

I used the Fel-pro 4-piece style gasket, no problems. (used on two-piece rear main seal motors)

Placed some RTV in the corners. (no leaks):party52:
