Hello,

I've been looking for an overdrive for a bit for my 6.2 crew, well i found one behind an np205. I thought that my setup was a 205 behind a sm465 easy right. just pull off the gearvendor and plug it in behind tcase. WRONG. I have a 241. didn't know that.

Question is this. will the np205 bolt right up to the sm465 on a 1991 v3500

thanks in advance. I dont want to pull and figure out it doesnt fit.

Hmm, even in 91, I was certain that the 1 tons still got the NP205. First things first about the NP205. Is it a round pattern or a racetrack pattern. You're needing the later round pattern if you do indeed have an NP241. Also, if it's a round pattern, you'll need a 32 spline input on the NP205. If it's a 27 spline like out of an 80 half or 3/4 ton truck, then it'll be a 27 spline for a Th350 and won't work without swapping the input gear.
