Hello everyone,
I've been a long time square body lover but never owned one. Lots of time spent working on them because where I grew up almost all my friends first truck was a square body. I was raised die hard Chevy and I've built plenty of small blocks. But now I finally got my own.
I know it looks solid being from IL and all and that's because it had the ziebart protect long long ago and let me tell you its is solid ......except where they drilled holes in it to put those stupid running boards in
Needless to say its got holes all the way through pretty much everywhere alone where the running boards are....and then the typical spot between the tailgate and bed.
Her name is ramble sue and she is in progress to be my reliable DD. Already completed step one by doing a coolant flush, Changing the oil, and changing the trans fluid and filter (type F fluid). Step two is fixing all their vacuum line mess, rewiring the back end properly, And fixing the driver side front caliper.
The PO apparently never changed the fluids and thought vacuum lines were optional. Oh and they also thought you could run the whole back lighting system on a single 18gauge power wire without a fuse. Ugh.
BTW this is nice looking forum. I was originally on CK5 until I realized you had to pay to do pretty much anything.
