NO OIL pressure

Still Trying to figure out my oil pressure problem,
New Developments:
1) I pulled the oil filter adapter and the pressure valve seemed sticky so i replaced that.
2) I currently have the oil pan removed to check the pickup. There were some bits of RTV
(not mine surely) stuck in the screen but nothing to completely disrupt flow.
3) The oil pan was covered in black sludge so I cleaned that off.(a classmate said if the oil pan isnt sealed or torqued properly it could suck in air and give no oil pressure, is this true?) I may not have gotten a good seal under the timing chain.

I still have the pan out and would love your advice on what new gasket to put on it and if i should look at anything on the bottom end.

No, a loose pan will not make the pickup pull in air, unless it's so loose it's hanging off the bottom of the engine by one bolt lol. While you have the pan off put a new oil pump and driverod sleeve in, you can get them for 25 to 50 bucks.

Use a one piece oil pan gasket.

If the pan is off, replace the oil pump. It's foolish not to at this point

So Ive replaced the oil pump as suggested.

I also replaced the oil pressure sending unit.

I can start and run the engine and it runs very nice and grumbly.

I still have no pressure on my gauge but when I run the engine with the valve covers off I can see oil drizzling down out of the pushrods.

Should I pull the Dash and see if the gauge is quittin on me? Or does anyone have another suggestion?

Thank You all for your quick responses over the past several months, Im 22 years old and with your help ive built up my first engine.

Put a mechanical gauge on it and see what it says.

Im dumb, the battery indicator and temperature arent working either so ive got a problem on the dash

I ran the truck today and gas started pouring out, looked under the truck near the passenger gas tank and a fuel hose looks like it burnt through. its a real flimsy tube. There is no sign of where it is from

That's a vent of some sort for the tank switching valve. You can try operating the valve several times and see if that slows the leak, but the valve is probably failing.

A guy told me to blow compressed air into the gas cap hole to get fuel moving. maybe i blew something up in there.

Could have. The tanks are vented, but the vents can plug up with dirt over the years.
