I picked up a 87' Bowtie last fall and now that the weather is warming up it's time to do some work. Picked her up for $500 a fuel pump and a battery later she fired right up and runs great. 350, k10 TBI.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with my score. Yes all the wiring and mechanical work now with a little TLC. Oil pressure gauge is the only thing I need to fix now I think it's the relay. The AC compressor went out and they tore it out but that will be easy to replace with a new 134A or even R12 since I am a HVAC guy.

Welcome. Looking at your past projects it will be fun to see what you do with the '87. It would be tempting to just bomb around in a $500 truck but I get the impression you will do some resto work on it.

Post better pics of the gas pumps, we like pictures around here.

Mine has been converted to R134 and it's not nearly as cold as the R12 was. A buddy of mine, also a HVAC guy, put (I think) R409 in his '90 Suburban. When he turned on the AC you could see the frost blowing out of the vents.
