Hey guy,
Just purchased an 88 2500 suburban 4x4 with a 5.7,turbo 400,3:73,tailgate.
First time suburban or 4wd owner. Surface rust passed smog no problem interior is fair. 500.00. Runs excellent except it stalls when i come to a stop in gear. In neutral its okay. I'm thinking my dizzy is cracked somewhere.
I read that if the magnets are weak it will stall in gear.
Any thought?

Sounds like your Torque Converter lock up is staying locked except for the fact that TH400s do not have a lockup TC.
