Greetings all. Picked up a K3500 a few weeks ago. Started working it over to build a good work truck and off-road rig. Had a '77 back in the '90's and am glad to get another one.
Truck had a "crate motor" installed in '99, and it's only had 6k on it since. They screwed the install and caused the converter to press into the crank - destroying the thrust bearing (tranny overpressure). At some point someone used Bars Leak too... And everything made of rubber is deteriorated. "Opportunities" abound! Hope to share some past knowledge about these beasts.
