I am a retired auto shop owner and automotive technical school instructor. I grew up working in my Father's shop in East Texas. Wanting to get out of the auto business and after the Army, I went to college. But, I could get a part time jobs at dealerships. One day a friend who was an auto instructor in a high school told me that I should teach. I finished school and I got a job teaching at the Texas State Technical College in Waco Texas. I love that job, but the pay and career wasn't what I wanted. I then spent 5 years as the shop foreman at a large Cadillac dealership in Dallas. I then owned a Matco tool business, went to work for another shop owner managing 5 shops and then finally got my own shop. I love working on the classics and helping others with issues or problems that they might have. I was able to build my own shop when my wife and I built a new house. I have helped and been involved for many decades keeping the 50's, 60's and 70,s vehicles on the road. I currently have a 68 C10 that my Dad bought new, a 57 Bel Air, a 77 GMC Sprint, a 67 Olds 442 and a 64 Impala SS that I am in the process of finishing. I am on many forums and like to see how I can use my life experiences to help others.

Welcome from the north Oregon coast. It's always nice to have another knowledgeable member to help out the less informed with the questions that come up around here.

Sounds like you know a thing or two. Glad to have you here with us enjoying our squarebody trucks. When you get the opportunity, we love pictures around here and it sounds like you have some nice stuff in the stable.

Howdy from Ohio #2!

Yeah, I'd really like to see the '64 too! And the (presumably, based off screen name) 409 as well! 425hp was a dual quad, wasn't it?
