I am a retired auto shop owner and automotive technical school instructor. I grew up working in my Father's shop in East Texas. Wanting to get out of the auto business and after the Army, I went to college. But, I could get a part time jobs at dealerships. One day a friend who was an auto instructor in a high school told me that I should teach. I finished school and I got a job teaching at the Texas State Technical College in Waco Texas. I love that job, but the pay and career wasn't what I wanted. I then spent 5 years as the shop foreman at a large Cadillac dealership in Dallas. I then owned a Matco tool business, went to work for another shop owner managing 5 shops and then finally got my own shop. I love working on the classics and helping others with issues or problems that they might have. I was able to build my own shop when my wife and I built a new house. I have helped and been involved for many decades keeping the 50's, 60's and 70,s vehicles on the road. I currently have a 68 C10 that my Dad bought new, a 57 Bel Air, a 77 GMC Sprint, a 67 Olds 442 and a 64 Impala SS that I am in the process of finishing. I am on many forums and like to see how I can use my life experiences to help others.
