New to the Forum (Looking for my old truck)

I am trying to find my old 1985 GMC short bed truck that my Dad and I built (This was my first truck). When the truck was last sold I was told it was in Corpus Christi TX. So if anyone on here is the owner or knows the owner could you get in contact with me I am interested in buying the truck back

Thanks I am trying to find more pics but this is the only one I can find and it was after I wrecked the truck back when I was 16 (17 years ago)

If you had anything with the VIN on it, or anyway to research your old tax records for it, you could track it down a lot easier.

Yea I have asked my parents and they can't find any old records or papers with the VIN. The only info I have on it is the plates in the picture and the story I got from the last guy that I sold it to.

I was told they wouldn't give out that info

Did you build it in the early 90's? It has that look about it (which I like) and I'd guess it probably has been repainted by now.

Ohio has a website that you can look up a VIN and it will list all the places and times the vehicle had a title change, since they started going computerized in '92 or so. It doesn't give much info, but it's better than nothing. Maybe TX has something similar?

Yea we started on the truck in 1992 and I think I sold it it 96. From what I was told by the guy I sold it to is it was setting behind some shop in Corpus and it was still the same colors

It would be nice if TX had some database like this but I haven't found anything like it
