Picked up a nice 1988 R3500 7.4L, not one dent, excellent Dash, and interior, came across it not even looking for it, got lucky. This one I’m keeping. I can’t believe how comfortable it is to sit in it having it being a four door, and not having the steering wheel so close.I love this truck. Needs tires , window reg, one of the fuel pumps is gone, tint all windows, window switches, inop, window weather strip seals, tune up, oil leaks, ect. Going to respray the upper doors.. engine is silent… for the experts..
this a 1988 R3500, i thought 87 was the last year of ths squares?

C/K started again with the newer OBS trucks in 88. The older Squares continued in the Sub, K5 & many variations of 20 & 30 series trucks. The R is a 2x & V is a 4x in the Squares 88‐91. You have a good looking & unmolested appearing truck.

Dang, that's a nice truck! Squares continued through '91 in the K5 Blazer/Jimmy, Suburban and the 20/30 series trucks. Just changed designation to R/V cuz the '88-98 trucks took over the C/K designation

This looks like it is lowered in the Front? I have seen pictures of similar height, and others that have 2-3” more tire to fender lip clearance ? I am debating on ordering a new set of front springs. Any opinions are appreciated. Thx

Can anybody confirm that this 88 R3500 has been lowered in the front?
That IS a bit of rake....since it's a 2wd I'd figure the front coils probably haven't been changed (and if they are originals, saggy after 37 years). My OBS Crew Cab longbed has a little bit of rake but not that much....
