Hey all,
I have a 1986 SWB K10 6 inch BDS lift 37 in tires with 3/4ton axle swap I believe 411 gears. driving at any speed, when I accelerate the truck shakes like a wild banchee.. I give it more gas then it goes away. It does this at almost any speed. the first thought was u joints, nope they are good. the off road shop said driveline was good. Any thoughts?? Thanks

I asked the local offroad shop who installed the BDS lift they assured me the angles of driveline are correct. Lowered the t case As well.

Do you feel the shake more in the seat (rear axle) or thru the steering wheel (front axle).

Ball joints good? Steering box tight on the frame and frame not cracked?

You might look at a 17" wheel instead of a 16" to change the subject to you looking at new wheels. Lots more selection in a 17 vs a 16 nowadays.

Steering box is tight, unfortunately i feel the shake everywhere. Front end was gone thru and all new u joints, shop said ball joints are good.

Ya I'm trying to find some steelies with dog dish caps but in a deep dish. If I can't find what I want to do I'll have to go 17 inch, yes you are correct way more options for wheels and tires.

Another member had a similar problem. Check your drums and rotors. Might a broken one. That's what the other guy found.

Process of elimination.."shop" has deemed u-joints, drive line angles, Ball joints, etc. are fine.
Concentrate on tires/wheels, brakes..inspect for uneven tire wear, hot spots on rotor, etc.
Good luck.
