Hey guy, new to the forum but not a stranger to the square body's at all. I'm the past I've owned a '81 C10 with a 250 and 3 on the tree, a '85 long bed 4x4 on 35's, and a '87 lifted 10 inches on 40" gumbos with a '94 corvette LT1 swapped into it and growing up my father had 2 suburbans so I guess you could say it's in my blood lol. Any how, I recently acquired my first K5. Well, GMC Jimmy lol. My first one an was kinda iffy about it at first but after taking it wheeling a few times and having my 3 year old in the back with the top off he fell in love with that and I really like the short wheel base. I got it in May/June. I've taken it wheeling ALOT! It has the 350tbi/700r4/241C. Drive train is 100% stock with the exception of a aluminum 3 core radiator. It has a 6 Rough Country lift with 33" all terrains. It now so 144k miles on it. The guy I got it off of bought it off a older Gentlemen who had it as a show truck. Diff covers and driveshafts where painted silver, blue wire loom on all the brake lines and fuel lines under the truck, frame and everything underneath is painted gloss black, had hand painted graphics on the side with fender flares and aluminum step bars and the inlays of the dash where hand painted. I also belive the truck used to be a government or park vehicle because I live in the rust belt and ignore only has rust in the driver side rocker and it's not even that bad. Plus after poking around I found cracked bondo on the driver side A pillar and after pulling on it, it fell out and there's a hole drilled there for a spot light and there's also bondo cracking on the top of the driver side fender from what I'm guessing was a antenna when there is one on the passenger side. The dash has little holes drilled into it from what looks like a cb, the mic for the cb and a ewe other things. The truck had blue house carpet in it and that's the first thing I ripped out followed by the flares and step bars. The Jimmy is pretty bare bones, no center console (bought a matching blue one for it) no rear plastics and had no speakers when I got it. However it does have power windows, power locks, A/C, and power rear window. I just recently did a full complete tune up. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor button, distributor pick up, air filter, pcv valve, fuel filter, oil, oil filter, trans pan gasket, trans filter, fuel filter, and then I had the master cylinder go out which caused my front brakes to drag and I noticed the pads where worn so I just replaced the master cylinder, both calipers, pads, and then noticed the driver side wheel had slop in it so I did inner and outer wheel bearings and wheel seals on both sides. Took her wheeling and ended up bending the tie rod in the front, shoved it into the steering stabilizer and diff cover so I just replaced both tie rods, the adjusting sleeve and steering stabilizer. I've done other small things like window tint and a stereo and such. Well, any how, thanks for reading my little book here and I hope to meet some new guys an gals here and of course learn new things and maybe share some knowledge. Oh, by the way, the jimmy is the last year for the square body full size. It's a '91. First picture is of when I got it and then some wheeling pictures and then of how she sits now.

Welcome! Must have some pretty high mass to get the world to stick to ya that well!

It may be the orientation of the photos on your computer. Photos can sometimes get rotated based upon the resolution. But that's normally only 90*, not necessarily a full 180.

In that case, it may be the photo may actually be oriented "incorrectly." Such as, landscape shot was photographed in a portrait orientation and vice versa, then combined with the random 90* turn gets it upside down.

Yes! I loooove the turbines. I hear they are quite rare. I don't know about that. But the blue house carpet smelled like a old mobile home that sat in the middle of a forest for 12 years that had no windows and all the animals pissing in it. Lol. truck sat for like 3 years before I got her. Oh, and it also had those grey sheep skin seat covers on it. I was terrified when I took them off but amazingly the seats where perfect

Dying Fetus is from Upper Marlboro, Maryland and they are the best band on the face of the planet. Are you near that? Do you know them? lol.

It's perfect K5 music, if you didn't know.
