Welcome. I too am an Idaho native that's been wandering the Arizona desert the past 40 years! I like LS swaps, my truck gets 15 mpg, I use 10w40 oil and like to watch members go down the rabbit hole on this forum. That info will eventually make sense to you.

A few......... what are you looking for?
Nothing at the moment, I was able to find a local donor vehicle last spring. Junk yard owner towed it to my house and left for me to remove parts I wanted. Fenders like new (after market), bed was in better shape then mine. Also got transmission high, cab trim and assorted fasteners. Thanks for asking.

Gotcha, I already have plenty of rabbit holes to fill up my day.

Not quite new introduction. I joined the forum about a year ago but, have been viewing various threads for about a year and a half. I'm an original owner of a 1975 GMC K25 High Sierra. I purchased the truck off a dealer lot 49 years ago this month. It had been used initially as a work truck then as time went by mostly for hauling materials and towing various trailers. For the past thirty years it has been a farm truck with the added role of snowplowing. It has rarely been stored inside and suffered the effects of the central Idaho weather.

Beginning spring of 2023 I started a long needed deferred maintenance and restoration project with the help of this forum. To date I restored cab heat, addressed the leaking cowl seam that rotted out the driver floor, replaced the driver floor, installed new cab flooring, replaced a very leaky PS gear, installed new valve cover gaskets, installed new cab mounts, refurbished the original grill, purchased a donor vehicle for fenders and bed. Most of this work I would not have attempted had it not been for this forum. Additional work has been put on hold until spring. Cab corners, body work on replacement bed and repaint are planned projects.

Thanks for this informative forum, as I continue the project I'll be watching for ideas and suggestions.
as nice of a truck that is, you cant fool us.
