Neutral safety switch connector

I am finishing up a Painless harness on my 77 K10. I've been working on the cab interior wiring, but cannot get the neutral safety switch connector from the harness to connect. I replaced the switch itself with a brand new one when I rebuild my column earlier this year.

It looks like there's a plastic nub underneath the bottom metal tang that isn't allowing the connector to push on. I don't think I have the wrong switch installed, but I also don't think the Painless kit had the wrong connector. Any ideas?

For anyone that stumbles on this in the future, the advice I got from Painless tech support was to cut the connector off and use generic spade connectors.

That's terrible advice from Painless. Don't cut the wires.. Removing the connector and installing individual terminals just leads to confusion as to which terminal the individual wires connect to. The NSS is actually two switches, one is for the starter disable, and the other is for the backup lights. Simply remove the interfering "nub"..

Another update. I got the tip of a flathead screwdriver red hot and sliced the nub right off. The connector slips on now and works
