Prior to buying this, I came up with a different plan. I was going to get one of those combination tach/fuel gauge units that one of the members installed, a reproduction speedometer, and a working clock. After thinking it over, I would end up spending about $300 for all that. So this ended up being a savings.

I think I have a tach harness laying about if needed. It's yours no cost.

Thanks Jay. Once I get some wire diagrams, and get the old cluster out so I can chase wires, I will let you know. I think mine may have the harness already, but I hate to jump to conclusions. Although I cannot see why there is a tach wire plugged into the distributor if there isn't a tach harness. Cannot wait to see how this plays out.

It will be plug and play unless your gauge wiring has been hacked up. Just the tach will need to be wired up, simple enough being 12+, gnd and dist.

That's my thinking too. Wiring shouldn't be hacked, at least I hope it's not. I am the third owner, the first was an old lady, and the second barely drove it. But with it being 32 years old, it's hard to say.
