So, Ive always been a huge fan of the old square bodies, every since my jacked up 87 K5 ( which I regret selling) anyways, i was wondering if you fine people could help me out. I found a 1984 suburban all done up...
- 10'' lift
-38.5 super swampers ( low tread )
- custom viper blue/silver flame paint job
- custom winch bumpers
- high performance 383 stroker making 430 hp
-fully built th400 to back it up
-4.56 gears on np205 axles
-less than 500 miles on drive train, all receipts for work
- asking price is 4200

now, My question is, does anyone have a jacked up truck that they drive daily with mods like this, Ive never owned something as large as a suburban before. what kinda things wear out the fastest? any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you

I would think C4 or Bucket should be able to provide insight to your questions when they stop by your intro thread.

Howdy!

Although it's not lifted that high, my wife drives our lifted Burb everyday and we've taken the family on several out of state trips with it.

The Burb you've found sounds pretty well built. The lift is a little high for that tire size, so if it's got a body lift or something you should take that out. Since the tires are shot, it would help replacing them with a set of radial tires. The rest depends on how the engine and trans combo is set up. Radical cam, choke, stall speed, etc.

well its all a 10'' suspension lift, no body lift, and the tires arent too bad, maybe 1/4 tread left or so, definitely need replacing within a year, which I definitely would do radials. the cam is radical, its a racing cam out of a 1/4 mile car, trans has I believe a 3000 or 3500 stall

Probably not going to be a very good daily driver as it is then. It will suck gas and you will probably get sick of starting it up in cold weather.

I just took my 4th fist full of pills, or actually since it's after Midnight, we'll call it my first first full of the new day. So I'm normal at the moment, what the problem here?
