You can get a Pass drop NP241 to fit that setup and keep it on the pass side. You will need one out of up to a 90/91 blazer/burb as it will have the digital speed output setup.

But it doesn't have all the convenience features of the t-case included with the complete setup. I'm guessing the lack of the factory t-case would cause pcm tuning issues, particularly in low range. I have no idea if there's a 241 input available that matches the trans.

True on that, it would lose the fun things that that transfer case setup is capable of.
