Hello from Central Texas. My '85 Silverado has been a working ranch truck since '99 and several months ago I started out with a paint job (Le Mans blue) and followed that up with lots of mechanical chores as well. New dash, complete tune up, new coil springs, new rear gear to a 3:73, sound system, new grille, and perhaps most importantly, a 350 HO crate motor, Hooker headers and Flow Master exhaust. And then, lots and lots of Mother's back to black work on the interior. Still have some things to do and am looking forward to sharing things that I have done with you guys and also to learn how to do some things that I have not attempted. It is NOT a show truck and will continue to work here at the ranch. For the first time in my life I have a decent looking truck that runs very strong. Gas mileage has been a shocker...getting 15 mpg on the road and I had figured that 10-12 would be acceptable.
