Just because the cable “looks” good, doesn’t mean it is. You can have corrosion inside the insulation where you can’t see it. Look on YouTube on the process of performing a voltage drop test. That’s the best and most accurate way to ensure electrical integrity.


Get it fixed, before you let the magic smoke out of the wires. Once the smoke is out, nothing electrical works.
I keep this stuff next to my blinker fluid

You must be careful when using the Lucas brand, depending on if it is made for the UK wiring or the US wiring, the UK smoke will place the smoke on the wrong side of the wire and cause the blinkers to unblink unless UK blinker fluid is added.

As long as you remember that UK smoke is always on the left....and the US smoke is always right,even when it's wrong.
