Even with shipping Rock Auto is generally cheaper than buying locally for me! Just sucks I gotta wait like 1-2 weeks for stuff at times.

1 or 2 weeks isn`t so bad. I once had to wait almost a month to get an ignition lock cylinder. So it can be worst...

I've had some shipments from rock auto be fairly fast. I wonder if the speed of shipment depends on the warehouse it comes from

Just ordered all new steering and suspension components from RockAuto for my 1995 Suburban. Do I wish it was free shipping, of course, but it was still way cheaper than Amazon to get everything, even though they offer free shipping the items are just more expensive.

The items were in two seperate shipments. One was supposed to be here on the 23rd and one on the 29th. Well, the first one was on time and I got the second one yesterday. So that's pretty quick!

Even though RA usually has good pricing it still does matter to shop around... one of these is RA the other is Summit.

It`s best if you can have RA ship your parts from one warehouse instead of several. This way you can minimize your shipping costs. More warehouses mean more carriers that need to be paid, which also mean more expenses on your part. I read this on the RA`s FAQ page.

With or without free shipping, RockAuto is still one of the best auto retailers these days.
