Indeed, seems like a great axle....shame LSD's weren't the norm. I've never considered going open diff straight to locker on any other vehicle I've owned. I had a Detroit on an 11 flat Cutlass just 'cause I got a deal on it vs going with a spool, but it allowed me to drive on the street at times. I didn't like a ratcheting rear at all compared to a LSD on the street, but of course don't want to shell out tons of dough for a 14b LSD, or go back to a 12bolt either. It's action was noticeable and noisy even on a car setup to pull wheelies. They are scary to corner in a performance oriented manner as well, but I know lots of track cars do use them. Even the true mouse 140hp monster can fry one tire easily...LOL. Sucks ;) Sounds like I might like the powertraxx the best.

Honestly, in a truck, and the big heavy 14b FF, you don't notice the ratcheting near as much. My dad had DL installed in his 94 Cab & Chassis and you don't hear or feel it. Now if you're outside the truck and he's backing up, yeah it makes some racket.

Looks like I have some thinking to do and money saving haha. Well a few weeks.... Truck is getting expensive but having fun. Getting near the end of the build, dynoing the motor soon and painting the frame.
