Most of them are just steel plate. Probably can fabricate some hoops out of some all-thread too. Or rebar.

My buddy's new race truck has 2 loops on the rear, looks like they used 1/4" x 1-1/2" bar stock to make the loop, and a couple pieces to brace it to the frame and crossmember. It has very little rear suspension travel though so if that is going to be an issue with yours definitely keep it in mind.
