i've got the front figured out, but for the rear of my 84 c20 will a c10 flip kit work?

3/4 ton trucks have larger axle tubes than 1/2 tons and some of the spring perches are boxed so no I wouldn't buy a c10 flip kit for a c20, you need to buy the right kit. But converting to a 1/2 ton could be an option for you.

got email from western chassis today saying c20 drop kit should be out this spring, but still didn't answer my question of if i'm using 1/2 ton rear end, then which flip kit

If you are converting to 1/2 ton buy the 1/2 ton lowering parts. The flip bracket is specific to the axle not the spring.
