I just pulled my NP208. It has been jumping out of 2WD -> neutral, suspect a bad fork.
Having never pulled a t-case before I had one simple question.
There is a support bracket that supports the NP208. On my truck there were four (4) ~ 1/2" steel spacers used where the t-case support bolts to the truck frame.
On my truck, two (2) of the spacers were in place on the driver's side between the Support Bracket and Truck Frame, effectively lowering the Support Bracket ~ 1/2". On the passenger's side, the spacers were still on the bolt, but placed below the Support Bracket, putting the Support Bracket in direct contact with Truck Frame, doing no spacing function whatsoever.
Question - Are all four (4) normally used between the Support Bracket and Truck Frame? Do the spacers really matter at all?
