What little chevy would be best for me to look for to turn it into a mud drag racer? Im just not sure what has the frame to handle a high horse motor. from what i have seen the smaller the faster but i have no experiance with it but would really like to give it a try.

A buddy of mine has a 1/2 ton stepside K10 with a 10-bolt front and 14 bolt full floater rear, running 1200 hp and wins just about every time. He runs ladder bars and I'm sure he's done stuff to stiffen the frame. How deep of mud are you talking? Or does it really matter, like you want to ride on top of it? He runs 35x15x16.5 boggers out back, 35" gumbos up front on 4" lift. The rear only has about 2" travel off the bumpstops.

it looks like the races i've seen around here the mud aint very deep like maybe 6" the tracks are about 200' long. and i think around 3 sec is around the time to beat. but the faster truck are something like little love tipe things or S10s. it just seems like alot of power would twist everything up on them.

S10 is the hot setup for the deeper stuff from what I've seen, with really wide boggers they practically only skim the top. This is the fastest truck in the state right now, "Rumpshaker" the 1200 HP K10 I mentioned in the earlier post...

Anything can be fast if you put the thought into it and find out what the hot setup is for everyone else. From what I've seen 3.73 gears, low range and 33-35" tires is the common setup.

Hot damn! I want to run my Burb now! Worn out 350 probably isn't part of the hot setup though, lol.

This was the really fun one, just wish it would have been about a foot and a half deeper...
