Scoots1 might have new springs, I'd guess that our 2 leafs were probably about the same height when new. Are your springs original?

I showed the photos to my father-in-law, he smirked and said "wonder how that happened..." He used to haul hogs with this truck, hence why it's on it's third engine and like 4th transmission.
As far as I know mine are original.

You have way more clearance than I do but I only have the 2 leafs in front.

yes I have the 2" tuff country springs, they actually measure 3" over stock springs and they are the easy ride not heavy duty.
I am hoping they sag. 2" lift or 1 1/2" would be perfect for me. 33" tires fit on my truck with an 8" wide 3.75 backspace, I had a 10" rim prior to these and they rubbed on full turn on compression. BTW my 33" were BFG AT which are actually 32.5"

How do they ride vs the stock you had before?

Where did you get your leaf springs? That all looks good.

original equipment, except the u-bolts and bushings. lots of elbow grease and fresh coats of paint. The frame and some of the other components have been powder coated. But I did look at alcan springs just didn't budget for them!

I wish it came with the stock springs but it had rear blocks and rancho 3" fronts with dual rancho shocks.
It rides about the same on streets and FWY but uses and has more travel off road especially when I disconnect the sway bar

Mine are the multi leaf “ORD custom” springs, but not the whole kit. They asked me about a hundred questions before ordering them—there were definitely compromises made between payload capacity and flex. I went more flexy. Already had the grease able shackles, u bolts and shocks...still might need brake lines, but only asked for 2” lift. Their website used to state no ubolt flip kit for the rear on one tons because the spring plate could hit the frame.

I may go to ORD springs are you running single or dual front shocks?
If I were to spend the money on custom ORD springs I'm guessing it would be softer but then I would need stiffer shocks?
I want to eliminate the boat like jello spongy feel and have tighter not harsher ride.
I'm presently running 2" Tuff Country ez ride with 5125 Bilsteins

Couldn’t tell you. I haven’t installed my new springs yet. Your ride definitely shouldn’t get harsher with the ORD customs, but they are custom. They asked a ton of questions about what I’ll be doing with the truck, what kind of trails I’ll be on, what a typical payload would be(total vehicle weight as it sits—lights winches etc.)tire size...everything. I told them I want my 1-ton to feel like or softer than a half ton; and they said that’s typical when they set up the spring rate after asking all those questions. I’m planning on running Fox, Kings, Deutch or something similar for a shock as well as airbags in the rear for when I’m loaded up with water tanks, ice chests, ammo and whatever else for hunting and camping or dirt biking.

Shocks aren’t a substitute for spring rate, they only control the rate of movement through the spring travel. My oem 3 leaf springs in the front ride pretty bad with my small block.
