Stock carburetor would have been a Quadrajet on a spreadbore manifold. Truck carburetors were upgraded later than cars, so its a mid-range version of the Quadrajet (not the same as the carburetor in '75 cars). Well plug leakage should not be a problem, but probably still has a hot air choke, and there is no way to externally access the part throttle adjustment (APT) screw.

Most Quadrajets can be adjusted/modified to flow 750 CFM or more. GM used the same basic carburetor on multiple vehicles, but used limiters and other restrictions to reduce air flow on some vehicles.

You can make a Holley fit, but will need an adapter to fit the stock spreadbore manifold. Make sure you also adjust the TH350 kickdown if it has that transmission. Even though its a C30, I don't believe they used the TH400 in '75.

Well here's the truck. And the holly has giant idle jets to the point it fouled the plugs in a few minutes. Put the afb back on for now and it's running decently. Until I can get some smaller jets. And it most definitely has a th400. Electric kick down and the pan without a corner cut. It will be put to use this weekend.

I agree, I think the color suits the truck well. the jalousie window/bubble window camper shell is interesting.

I love the truck in general but not so much the color. Like a family heir loom now. Been in the family since new.
The family tie is the best part!! Thats why ill only buy chevy because of my dads "timex". i love how yours is that nice and in the family since new! Id LOVE to inherit a truck like that!! You have a tie not too many others do. Id cherish that.
