can the junction block go bad? test light lights up on the side that runs from alt., starter, battery, fuse block, but doesn't light up on the other side, which runs to the a/c blower mtr., does that mean that the junction block is bad

that's it, a hot runs from the lft post to the a/c, blower mtr etc. , but when i put a test lght on the lft post it will not light up

Could be corrosion between the two posts, might try taking it apart and clean it up and see what happens, couldn't hurt..

Yes, make sure all the connections are clean metal. And use external star washers like these to bite into the metal. I use them a lot on 8ga -12ga power feed connections and ground straps.
