This is what I just got on Wednesday, bought it from the second owner, who lives down the road from the first owner who bought it new in Yoakum, Texas (near Shiner). Looks kinda like my other Crew Cab (the one that got wrecked) but this one is 3 years newer and a C2500 short bed instead of a C3500 long bed. Both have the 350 and 4L80E.
While I was sweeping the dirt out of the bed, one of the other park guests brought his new truck down to the dumpster with his trash.
Sorry dude, mine is better looking!

My 90 had the single seal beam wt grille i much prefer lol
That's how our '81 shop truck was. Everything else was Silverado....of course the early burbs were round eyes and the 75 and 78 pickups too. The 90 R2500 Burb had those quad beams, fortunately we didn't have to buy any.

Yes and that is probably an 88-89, see the quad sealed beams? Them GMT400s get around though.....
what the general decided to do with the quad lights is kind of of the new at the time gmt400 got them for its first and second year and then droped them the carry over square bodies got them in 89 and ran them till the end of there run so why did the 400s not keep them though 91 and why did not not do the face lift on the square bodies in 88 they could have I think if they really want to nothing would have stoped them from doing so

Engineering workload.

Too much to do all at once. I think the original plan was as you described but it got delayed.

And mine of course, Lil Truck O' Gold:
The blue one is not mine, just a well cared for 400 that lives a pampered life in West University Place; I see it on my morning commute.
