I apologize. (Another 700r4 question)

The research I have found on various other forums mentioned this kit to get the right dimensions. What are your thoughts?
Nope that's not the problem. Let me find you something. Biab

The little arm on the side of the carb that is the heart of the deal, the most important part, the rest you can use stock or aftermarket bracket and cable. It's that lever arm being in the correct clock position and length that is super important,so it pulls the cable the proper amount in thebproper increments to match the angle of the throttle blades. The arm swings in an arc not straight so wrong clock position or wrong length center to center means incorrect travel on the cable and wrong transmission pressures. I 100% agree that you should check pressures with a gauge. I have one, most people still gamble though. Do lots of research on TV cable I think it's bow tie overdrive used to have some real good tech stuff on their website that isn't there anymore but you can still stumble across links in other forums etc. To get it. I posted it on here before,I'll try to find it and get you the link. TC cable is the BIGGEST killer of 700r4s then people blame it on the transmission, not the lack not knowledge and proper adjustment.

You will smoke a 700R4 to the ground in less than 5 miles if the TV cable isn’t correct. Go on Amazon and buy a pressure test kit then search YouTube for some how-to’s. It is super simple to get it right and the truck never has to leave the garage. The pressure kits are like $25. Adjust your TV cable in or out (in to increase pressure) until you are within the below specks, then you can drive it.

It will take way, way more time to have to pull the transmission
Nice! That's not a bad idea! That will definitely take some worry out of it. Thank you!

That arm was all I was concerned about. The rest is easy, just read about it. I forgot to try to find that link. I'll do it now.

Your awesome!

Do I have to have the cables in line or can they be off centered a bit? Because looking at the carb and the cable bracket it seems as though they aren't quite in line with each other.

It's gone everywhere, the links I put up and all. I keep looking for info and post as I find it. I'm going to post a pic of the throttle valve and how it is supposed to operate, the thing is if the valve itself is worn you won't know without a pressure test. Also make sure your pedal at full throttle has the carb at full throttle.
