Hood latch

I would love to put a inside hood latch on my 80,, Do the newer sb ones just bolt in? I'm thinking this could be a worthy trial for me..

No, but an inside release was optional '77-'80. You need the latch and center support, the hood striker and mounting plate, as well as the release cable from a donor truck with the option.
