Hey just wanted to introduce myself. I'm justin and just got a 1983 C20 loaded Silverado with a 454 and turbo 400. It's in pretty good shape over all I'm just looking to make it a little better and give it some TLC. I look forward to picking y'alls brains since I haven't had one of these since high school. I'm pretty mechanical but just shade tree stuff. Thanks guys and let me know if I can help with anything.

Welcome aboard, Justin. I had a '83 C30 with a 454 and turbo 400 and it lasted me 282,000 miles. Really loved that truck. Hit a cow going around a turn on the road to my ranch one night and turned it over and found myself hanging upside down by my seat belt! The truck got a constant 13-14 miles per gallon with or without a heavy load.

Thanks guys. I'm liking my play truck so far and it only has 128k original miles. I had to just replace the carb and put some new exhaust on and I love the sound. Now I just have to figure out how to get my tanks to change back and forth lol
