help replacing tie rod boots

my passenger side tie rod i can widglle freely back and forth twisting motion but my drivers side is fine i was told the boots need to be replaced how i=do i do this i have a 1982 gmc rear wheel drive and i have a tourque wrench to use on the bolts

The tie rod end itself needs to be replaced if it's loose. Not just the boot. Boot merely holds in grease.

So i buy a whole new tie rod assembly and boots? and replace the whole thing

As in for both sides right?

I dont recommend just doing one side.

Make sure you count the number of turns taking the old ones off!!

i did both and number of turns were counted for every bolt take off and wow its much better no jeking wheel tighter steering its like a new struck
