my names nick, i live in south east michigan, I work for ford as a mechanic, and daily drive a lincoln mark VIII, however my weekend beauty is my 86 chevy k10. she has a '70 454 big block with stock heads, a mild cam, an edelbrock intake and an edelbrock 600 cfm carb. behind the motor i'm running a TH350 which i believe to have some sort of shift kit (bought it with a newly rebuilt trans, shifts pretty firm) it has a 10 bolt front axle and a 14 bolt rear axle (not sure of SF or FF). aswell as a 208 Tcase. on the ground i am running 35x12.5 15 BFG all terrains. i'm a ford guy and haven't really dealt much with chevy's and i feel as though i have stumbled upon a plethora of much needed information on your guy's forum! recently, took my truck out in a field, did 1 donut and blew the rear driveshaft clean off, shearing the u joints and destroying the shaft completely. planning on a complete rebuild, (turbo 400 trans, 205 transfer case, dana 60 front end and 14 FF rear end. I want a Solid beast that i don't have to fix everytime i want to get her a little muddy. well i just wanted to say hello and thanks in advance for all the help!
